Australian Cody Haddon declared he was “super broke” following his dominant stoppage victory over China’s Aoriqileng in Macau on Saturday, begging UFC boss Dana White for a bonus.

In his first fight since October 2024, the 27-year-old finished Aoriqileng in the second round of the bantamweight encounter with a nasty knee to the liver.

But after the fight, Haddon took the opportunity to request additional compensation for his efforts.

“I’m super broke. I have no money,” Haddon exclaimed.

“Please! I deserve a bonus. I just came into enemy territory and put on a show like that.

“You know when you book me to fight, I’m coming in to kill or be killed.

“Please, let me be compensated.”

Unfortunately, Haddon didn’t get his wish, with Song Yadong and Kai Asakura receiving the performance of the night bonuses.

Later on the main card, fellow Australian Jake Matthews overwhelmed Guyanese fighter Carlston Harris and sealed a unanimous decision victory (30-25, 30-27, 30-27).

Elsewhere, American Alex Perez was left curled over a bucket on the floor of the octagon after copping an illegal groin kick from China’s Su Mudaerji.

In the second round of their flyweight bout, the 34-year-old copped impact below the belt and couldn’t continue following a five-minute delay, with the fight deemed a no contest due to the accidental foul, prompting boos from the spectators.

Perez was later transported to a local hospital for a precautionary testicular ultrasound.
