With six rounds in the books, the overall rankings are beginning to take shape, and while some teams are separating themselves from the pack, there is still plenty of time for those further down the standings to make their move.

Round 7 presents several intriguing opportunities, with double-game weeks, favourable schedules and some emerging trade targets giving SuperCoach players plenty to consider.

For those looking to climb the rankings, going against the popular selections could prove the difference between another average round and a significant jump up the standings.

BUY

SC_BOZ: Kristian Doolittle (PER) | $345,100 (+$22.3k)

Perth finally enters a favourable schedule run for the upcoming rounds. With JLA suffering another injury setback, Doolittle is the recipe for success! A solid premium we can rely on for multiple rounds.

Walshy News: Jaylin Galloway (CNS) | $196,400

After scoring 29 in his first game, Galloway is a buy for me. He wasn’t meant to be on a minutes restriction but ended up playing big minutes. He’s got money to make!

usageratepod: Jaylin Galloway (CNS) | $196,400

FIBA Galloway has landed in Cairns. Two double game weeks and a bargain price at 196.4k. Dual position to cap it off. Jump on!

Mattrix (Baseline Jumper): Kristian Doolittle (PER) | $345,100 (+$22.3k)

Kristian Doolittle with a triple double (3 double game weeks in a row) schedule wise and the one stable player in this Perth line-up! For me a possible captain option and a play every week.

HOLD

SC_BOZ: Makur Maker (ILL) | $188,000 (+$36.1k)

Hold for one week to benefit for the following three doubles. This guy has been a revelation for our teams. More cash and scoring to be had.

Walshy News: Makur Maker (ILL) | $188,000 (+$36.1k)

100% hold on Maker. He’s getting more minutes every game, and it’s becoming clear he’s the Hawks’ number one centre option ahead of Sam Froling, who started at PF. Maker is the Hawks’ best player, and with his role continuing to grow, he’s going to make you money.

usageratepod: Kendric Davis (SYD) | $405,000 (-$8.3k)

Hasn’t looked amazing since Matthew Dellavedova went out but with only 5 singles remaining for the year, he is a guy you can hold long term. He will be fine.

Mattrix (Baseline Jumper): Carlin Davison (NZL) | $274,900 (+$45.3k)

I think Gordon Herbert works it out. He missed last week (the coach) and they worked PJC back into the line-up. They’ve talked about getting Parker some help and it has arrived (it was right under their noses). Coach will work this out and Carlin will hold price on a DGW.

SELL

SC_BOZ: Xavier Cooks (SYD) | $296,300 (-$0.1k)

Personally, I am holding. However, many teams want to move to Doolittle and using Cooks as the cash source could be the play. Cooks has been solid while not being incredible, outplayed by Craig & Carr. Not an essential HOLD if it means you upgrade your team.

Walshy News: Anthony Dell’Orso (PER) | $219,100 (-$11.9k)

With Brandon Knight entering the starting line-up, Dell’Orso’s role has taken a massive hit. He’s likely to start losing cash, making him an easy sell for me.

usageratepod: Jonah Bolden (CNS) | $263,700 (+$21.1k)

Two double game weeks ahead but has maxed on his price. Straight swap (and cash) to Galloway. Who would’ve thought that at the start of the year?

Mattrix (Baseline Jumper): Xavier Cooks (SYD) | $296,300 (-$0.1k)

If SuperCoach mediocrity had a poster child it would be X. He looks disinterested, Carrs role is increasing and all the attack is coming from the guard spots. KD is overplaying his hand and X is the player that’s missing out. This is a false DGW for X (with 8 good teams on doubles) trade him one week early and jump the pack!

CAPTAIN

SC_BOZ: Bryce Cotton (ADE) | $438,400 (+$21.9k)

Whenever this man is on the double, he is a must captain! Now I know he will not be highly owned, but for owners that are getting him in, this is a shoutout to you! Big POD captain play.

Walshy News: Cole Anthony (MEL) | $356,900 (+$15.7k)

After his performance against the Kings, Cole Anthony has shown what he can do with 30+ minutes under his belt. With match-ups against Cairns and New Zealand coming up, who’s going to stop him?

usageratepod: Parker Jackson-Cartwright (NZL) | $477,500 (+$9.2k)

A certified killer. Came back from his injury not missing a beat. Lock him for 80+.

Mattrix (Baseline Jumper): Kristian Doolittle (PER) | $345,100 (+$22.3k)

THE EXPERTS HAVE SPOKEN

we’ve seen some cracks in Kendric Davis and it’s time to POD it up. Kristian does it all and a bad game is 30. It’s a safe POD that could catapult you up the ranks. And if it doesn’t work, shouldn’t cost you much.

With the experts divided on several key selections, Round 7 is shaping up as an interesting week for SuperCoach players looking to make up ground.

Kristian Doolittle and Jaylin Galloway have emerged as popular trade targets, while the future of Xavier Cooks has sparked debate, particularly with other premium options presenting opportunities to improve teams.

But perhaps the biggest decision facing SuperCoach players this week is who to hand the captaincy to.

EXCLUSIVE: Wildcats star’s ‘wake up call’ as Doolittle opens up on journey from college to NBL

Kendric Davis remains a popular selection, but with Bryce Cotton, Cole Anthony, Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Doolittle all presenting alternatives, there is an opportunity to go against the majority.

And for those chasing the leaders, a successful POD captain could make a significant difference.

At the time of writing, Cairns guard Jaylin Galloway is the most traded-in player ahead of Round 7, with 14.9% of coaches (2,701) bringing him into their sides.

Meanwhile, Davis accounts for 25.5% of captaincy selections, leaving the door open for those willing to take a calculated risk on another premium option.

With plenty of double-game opportunities ahead, the right trades and captaincy decisions could see some major movement in the overall rankings.

For those yet to sign up for NBL SuperCoach, there’s still plenty of time to get involved, with weekly prizes of $500 up for grabs.
