Alex de Minaur has tied the knot with long-time partner and fellow tennis star Katie Boulter – but the timing of the wedding has raised eyebrows.
The 27-year old has been in a relationship with the British world No.67 since March 2020, with the pair announcing their engagement in late 2024.

They have proved a power couple on the tennis tour, regularly attending one another’s matches and frequently asked about their relationship in interviews.
According to reports, the pair were wed near Boulter’s family home in Old Woodhouse, a town in Leicestershire.
The nuptials are welcome good news for the tenacious star, coming just days after de Minaur opened up on his devastation after crashing out of Wimbledon with a straight sets fourth round loss to Italian Flavio Cobolli.
The defeat continued the top Australian’s miserable run at the midpoint of majors, having made and lost six quarter-finals at his last nine grand slams along with back-to-back exits in the fourth round at the All England Club.
“It breaks me inside. That’s the reality of it,” he said after his loss to Cobolli.
“Many, many hours gets put into my craft, and countless years, to … have moments like these. To not step up to the plate, it’s truly gut-wrenching. It’s very tough.”
After the defeat, de Minaur said he would not be playing another tournament ‘for a while’, giving him time to enjoy married life with Boulter, who endured a tough Wimbledon of her own with a first-round defeat to qualifier Tyra Grant.
However, the timing has raised eyebrows, with the wedding taking place on the same day as the Wimbledon men’s singles final, in which world No.1 Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev to retain his title.
In further good news, de Minaur’s disappointment hasn’t stopped him from rising to a career-best No.5 ATP ranking.Having started the tournament ranked sixth in the world, the Aussie matched the points he gained from reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2025.
In the process, he shot past American Ben Shelton, who was bundled out in the first round.
24-time grand slam champion Novak Djokovic could have surpassed de Minaur had he reached the final, but his loss to Sinner in the semi-finals matched his run to the last four in 2025, keeping the all-time great at seventh in the rankings.
De Minaur is the first Australian to reach a top-five singles ranking since Ashleigh Barty announced her retirement in 2022, and the first man to do so since mentor Lleyton Hewitt in 2009.
He joins an elite list of Australian greats to attain those heights, alongside Hewitt, Rod Laver, Ken Rosewall, John Newcombe, Pat Cash and Pat Rafter.
