The NRL will trial a controversial new kick-off rule as Brisbane hosts the Melbourne Storm, as both sides surprisingly prepare to miss the finals.
The rule, allowing the team who concedes to either receive or take the kick-off, had been knocked back by clubs in the pre-season.
