While Conor McGregor stole all the headlines, both before and after Sunday’s hyped UFC 329 main event, a classy speech from Max Holloway was lost in the chaos.

Holloway’s highly-anticipated rematch with McGregor lasted just 69 seconds, with UFC boss Dana White telling reporters post-fight that the Irishman is feared to have suffered a torn ACL.
Holloway was understandably subdued in his celebration after the victory over McGregor, which ended with McGregor being heavily booed by the fans in T-Mobile Arena.
It prompted a classy Holloway to try get the crowd back on McGregor’s side, using his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan to declare he was still open to a trilogy fight should the 37-year-old want one.

“Give it up for Conor McGregor guys,” Holloway said afterwards.
“What an absolute animal. He kept asking to fight on. You guys are lucky, there’s going to be a Holloway vs. McGregor 3 now. What can I say? I had him weak in the knees, I guess. It is what it is.
“So much hype for that. We’ve got to run it back one more time. We need one more. For it to end like this, it sucks.”
White, meanwhile, said he was not sure what was next for either fighter in his press conference.
“I don’t like talking about making fights at the end of the fight, but definitely not in this scenario,” he added.
