Fight fans are in disbelief after a remarkable four-second KO rocked the world of MMA.
The UFC has played host to some of the fastest and most famous knockouts in history, from Jorge Masvidal’s five-second win over Ben Askren, to Conor McGregor’s 13-second flattening of Jose Aldo.
But it was in the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) where headlines were made in Kentucky on Saturday (AEST).
UFC 329: McGregor v Holloway 2 | SUN 18 JULY 11AM AEST | Conor McGregor is back. The Irish superstar takes on the always dangerous Max Holloway in a rematch 13 years in the making | Order Now with Main Event on Kayo Sports.
In the show’s co-main event, American Jake Woodley faced middleweight compatriot David Wright.
Unbelievably, the first shot ended the contest as Woodley, who moved to 8-1 with the victory, landed a devastating overhand right to send Wright to sleep.
Woodley, nicknamed “The Milkman”, attempted to land some additional shots as Wright collapsed to the canvas, but the referee was quick to step in and cover the stricken fighter.
Woodley immediately stormed over to the camera and screamed: “What a f**king punch.”
While the stunned commentator said: “Woodley drops the bomb. Are you kidding me?
“We may have a record finish. The Milkman delivered.”
In his post-fight interview, Woodley added: “I felt him stiff and I thought ‘Holy s**t, I think I knocked him out’.”
Woodley stopped the clock after just four seconds — eclipsing Masvidal’s flying knee KO of Askren in 2019 which came on the five-second mark.
And fans were quick to take to social media to voice their astonishment at Woodley’s instant knockout.
Caposa said: “OH MY GOD. Jake Woodley just scored the fastest KO in LFA history. 1 punch. 4 seconds. Insane.”
Gans added: “The fastest KO in LFA 235… damnnn. Jake Woodley put him out cold in 4 seconds.”
Larry BXNG reacted: “He just came out and flipped that off switch.”
While WeekenderMMA said: “Jake Woodley has to be on Contender Series this season right? He took 0 damage and just had a highlight reel for the ages.”
Woodley is on a four-fight win streak since suffering a first-round submission loss to James Romero in December 2024.
