American boxing superstar Terence Crawford is bringing his talents Down Under, with the undefeated champion set for an Australian tour that includes an unlikely stop – a celebrity basketball match in Mount Druitt.

Crawford, widely regarded as one of the finest fighters of his generation, will spend two days in Sydney and two in Melbourne between March 30 and April 2 as part of his “Victory Lap” tour.

“What’s going on everybody? Crawford said in a social media post.

“It’s your boy, Bud Crawford. Help me celebrate my victory lap in Australia this March 2026.

“See you guys Down Under.”

It marks the second straight year Crawford has visited Australia, and organiser Grant “Tassie” Brown confirmed the former world champ will lace up for a celebrity basketball clash alongside a host of Australian boxing greats – and potentially a few other big names.

“We’re doing a celebrity basketball game, six teams, three on three,” Brown told Fox Sports Australia.

“Crawford, Anthony Mundine, Billy Dibb – and we’re looking to get Nick Kyrgios and Alex Volkanovski.

“So that’ll be a fun day, especially for the community in Mount Druitt.”

Details on where and when fans can catch Terence Crawford in both Sydney and Melbourne are expected to be released in the coming days.

“For those that didn’t get to meet him last May, it’d be a good opportunity for people to come and meet him this time,” said Brown.

“I just hope Australia appreciates someone like Terrence Crawford, the height of his powers and coming down to Australia – he loves Australia and had a great time last time he was here.”

The switch-hitter from Omaha announced his retirement from boxing late last year after a career-defining victory over Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

The first man to win undisputed titles in three weight-classes in the four-belt era said he was “walking away as a great with nothing else left to prove.”

“I’m stepping away from competition, not because I’m done fighting, but because I’ve won a different type of battle,” Crawford said in his retirement message.

“The one where you walk away on your own terms.”

“This isn’t goodbye, this is the end of one fight and the beginning of another.

“…I gave this sport every breath I had. Every scar, every triumph, every ounce of my heart. I’ve made peace with what’s next. And now, it’s time. Thank you.”

Crawford retired unbeaten at 42-0, which included a 2018 triumph over Jeff Horn when he claimed the Australian’s WBO welterweight title.

‘Bud’ also notched up victories over the likes of Errol Spence Jr, Shawn Porter and Kell Brook with his victory over Canelo cementing his status as one of the greatest fighters of all-time.

Crawford has since doubled-down on his decision to retire, but there’s no shortage of boxers who would like to challenge him.

“I don’t think there’s any names out there big enough [to tempt him back],” explained Brown.

“There’s no one out there that can, that can really give him the money in the fights that he wants.

“You’ve got to understand when he fights now, since Canelo, every fight is like a Super Bowl.

“There’s no reason for him to come back – there’s nobody there for him.”
