Ladder leaders’ star import set to make call on future — NBL Daily

The Adelaide 36ers are close to re-signing Zylan Cheatham, who is in the midst of a career-best NBL season.

First reported by 9 News’ Will Crouch, Foxsports.com.au has confirmed that discussions are underway with the 30-year-old import.

It’s understood the 36ers are pursuing a multi-year deal for their star forward, who is firmly in the mix for an All-NBL First Team selection.

Cheatham is averaging 12.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists, and currently sits second in the league in rebounding.

With Bryce Cotton, Dejan Vasiljevic and Isaac Humphries already locked in for next season, securing Cheatham would significantly strengthen Adelaide’s push to build a long-term contender.
