LIVE NRL: Edwards burns DCE with 90-metre stunner as Manly lead Panthers

The Manly Sea Eagles lead the Penrith Panthers 14-12 in their clash at 4 Pines Park.

Dylan Edwards pounced on a grubber form Cherry-Evans to run the length of the field and get the Panthers back within two.

“The courage to attack the ball the way he did,” Parker said.

“That’s a huge momentum swing.”

Tolu Koula ran the length of the field to score a controversial try after Tommy Talau appeared to knock-on going for an intercept, but referee Todd Smith awarded a try and the Bunker upheld it.

“I don’t know how this isn’t a knock-on,” Parker said.

Earlier Reuben Garrick was ruled out of the game after copping an ugly head knock after colliding with the shoulder of teammate Jaxson Paulo.

Dylan Edwards put the ball on a platter for halfback Brad Schneider to dive over as the Panthers took an early lead.

Luke Brooks put Tom Trbojevic in space for the Manly fullback to dive over and lock up the scores.
