Australian NBA star Josh Giddey will not face charges for an alleged improper relationship with an underage girl after police closed the case.
According to US news outlet TMZ, Newport Beach PD says the charges have been dropped after officials found no evidence to support the allegations.
Giddey was alleged to have had improper relations with a 15-year-old girl when he was 19, after photos on social media came to light in late November.

It is believed the pair met at a nightclub, giving Giddey reason to believe she was over 18 years old.
The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard wasn’t stood down while the investigations were ongoing, meaning the NBA franchise were comfortable with Giddey’s version of events.
It was reported that the minor in question was unwilling to cooperate with police.
Giddey hasn’t publicly commented on the allegations, giving a “no comment” in a Thunder press conference soon after the allegations came to light.
Giddey had heard boos and jeers from opposing crowds throughout this ordeal, but can now focus on his play for the surging Thunder.
Oklahoma City are currently second in the West with a 27-13 record.
