‘Oh sh*t’: Aussie heavyweight’s ‘monster shot’ instant ‘knockout of the year’ contender

Aussie heavyweight Brandon Grach has delivered a “knockout of the year” contender to floor opponent Liam Talivaa in the second round of their bout on Wednesday night.

In only his second professional fight, the man nicknamed ‘The Bull’ lived up to his nickname with a monstrous left hand jab.

In the first round, both Grach and Talivaa hit the canvas, but the bout only lasted a further four seconds in the second before the fight was over.

“That is a monster shot. In the same fight, we’ve seen the round of the year and the knockout of the year in Australian boxing,” Ben Damon said.

“Liam Talivaa is down and out and there’s plenty of concern in this ring because he was absolutely demolished by The Bull … Oh my goodness.

“Brandon Grach has arrived on the heavyweight scene. That was a shot from ‘The Bull’ that would’ve knocked out a bull.

“A massive, monstrous knockout that you will see time and time again.”

American boxing legend Shawn Porter also couldn’t hide his reaction and reaction in a hilarious manner.

“Oh sh*t. I’ve gotta say that. I’m sorry. Sue me, fine me: Oh sh*t,” Porter said.

“As the round was starting, I was going to say I was willing to bet on the experience of Brach – and it really showed up.

“From that knockdown he had in the previous round, he knew this left hook was going to be the punch.

“What was impressive was he was able to find his timing and the range. The right hand a left hook did all of that. That’s what experience did.”

“What a performance. Unbelievable,” Pete Badel added.

“They call him ‘The Bull’ – well he’s now ‘The Raging Bull’. We have a new arrival, a new hit man in the heavyweight division.”

The boxing world also erupted after the mammoth knockout, with Grach earning heavy praise.

Meanwhile, Nikita Tszyu was stunned by the lusty blow, looking stunned as he watched on in his dressing room before fighting Dylan Biggs.

Coming in to Wednesday night’s fight, Talivaa had won all of his five professional match-ups.

Grach’s first professional fight came in September when he defeated Johan Linde on the Dylan Biggs and Ryan Mitchem undercard.
