The Roosters have reportedly named Brett Morris to be the new head coach of the club’s NSW Cup team from 2024.
It will be the first head coaching job for Morris, who has been working at an assistant under Trent Robinson since 2022.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Morris isn’t the only change to the Roosters staff, with Simon Jones hired to be their new head of performance.

Former Titans coach Justin Holbrook will also be apart of the new-look staff at the Roosters, signing with the Tricolours as an assistant from next season.
Morris played 281 NRL games across 16 seasons, finishing his career at the Roosters in 2021.
Morris replaces Anthony Barnes as Roosters’ NSW Cup coach.
Barnes led the reserve grade side to a 5-14 season, however, the Roosters NSW Cup team was utilised more as a developmental pathway side in 2023 with the North Sydney Bears acting as the Roosters’ main feeder club.
