Israeli UFC star Yanal Ashmouz has delivered a stunning knockout victory over Sam Patterson on the UFC 286 prelims.

In his UFC debut, Ashmouz caught a kick from Patterson and dished out an overhand right at the same time with just under a minute on the clock in the fight.

But as Patterson lost his balance, Ashmouz clipped him with a clean left hand that dropped the Brit and left him dazed.

Ashmouz then unloaded a barrage of strikes on the ground while Patterson simply couldn’t defend himself as referee Marc Goddard eventually stepped in to end the fight.

After coming round, Patterson was left confused and thought the fight was still going, with Goddard and his coach having to tell him the fight was over.

WHAT TIME DOES UFC 286 START?

The early preliminary fights begin at 4am (AEDT), with the prelims scheduled for 6am and the main card set to kick off around 8am. Edwards and Usman will likely make their octagon walks around 10am, dependant on how long the earlier fights last.
