Ronda Rousey caused a stir when she took aim at “f***ing ungrateful fans” on the weekend but current wrestling stars have taken offence to her labelling WWE matches “fake fights.”
The former UFC champion ruled out a full-time return to the wrestling ring, with one of her main reasons being the fanbase.
“What am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and energy on a bunch of f***ing ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me,” Rousey said on Steve-O’s Wild Ride podcast.

But if that was not enough to anger current WWE stars she caused further controversy with her later comments.
“Running out there, having fake fights for fun is just the best thing. I love choreography, I love acting, I love theatre,” Rousey said.
Now a number of WWE stars have taken to social media to defend their sport.
“I have NO WORDS for her audacity to save ‘fake fighting’,” Lana wrote.
“If it’s fake why can’t @RealPaigeWWE & @TJWilson can’t wrestle anymore?
“If it is fake why couldn’t @EdgeRatedR wrestle for 11 years? This is a contact sport where REAL things happen.”
Nia Jax was even more aggressive in her defence of the WWE, saying that she would knock Rousey out if they came face-to-face in the ring.
She did garner support from current WWE wrestler Shayna Baszler though, who also took aim at the wrestling fanbase.
